Emissions and Process Gas

CEMS – Gas Conditioning Systems

Gas conditioning systems are compressor or Peltier coolers used to lower the dew point of raw samples from emission sources or process gas streams to prevent it from condensing when entering the analysis system. The stability of the sample dew point is essential to avoid cross interferences from residual moisture onto other components of interest. The very low gas dissolution rate is reached using the new patented cooler technology. Both the permanent separation of the condensate from the gas phase, as well as the shorter contact time of the gas in the system, plays important roles in reducing gas dissolution rates. Each cooler can be rack or wall mounted without additional accessories, and are perfectly suited to industrial environments.

With up to 6 demountable PFA®-coated heat exchangers  installable either in the factory or at a later time, the gas conditioners range allows flexibility and versatility, with numerous configurations possible. This versatile design creates many possibilities. An exclusive feature available consists of the humidification of calibration gases to eliminate the risk of volumetric errors.

The exchangers can be connected in series or in parallel depending on customer requirements, enabling multistream and redundancy possibilities. Several options are available to optimise continuous operation or work in conjunction with the downstream analysers such as condensate drain, liquid alarm or built in temperature controller for external heated device.

The gas conditioners range offers precision, safety, and long-term stability for extractive analytics with:

The new ACC compressor cooler series incorporating an advanced structural design with housing suitable for both wall-mounting (standard) and 19“-racks by using optional brackets. The ACC series is composed of unique micro-processor controlled compressor coolers designed with a powerful dew point stabiliser for continuous operation in industrial settings. Three versions are available: ACC100 single and dual heat exchanger, the ACC400 with up to 4 heat exchangers and the ACC800 for installation in explosive areas.

The APC series is available in three flow versions, uses a Peltier element to regulate the gas outlet temperature, and is suitable for typical CEMS and process online analysis applications. The compact design of the ACP coolers is appreciated in integrations where space is limited as well as for mobile applications such as source testing.

The ASS sampling system is a rack or wall mount complete sampling system available in two flow versions. The ASS series minimises integration work while allowing efficient and reliable continuous emissions or process gases monitoring.

The AOX high performance NOx converters series allows optimal NO2 conversion when continuous NOx monitoring is required.

The ADS CEMS controller is a digital gas conditioning system designed to handle continuous and online operation requirements. The ADS is equipped with a PLC which is used to control sampling, calibration, and safety purge sequences. The PLC allows site and system specific configuration, and is housed with the rest of the sampling system in a compact 19”-housing unit for integration into a supplied or third party monitoring systems.
